Since starting Amaya's business in the mid-2000s, Mr. Baazov has guided Amaya into the world's largest publicly traded online gaming company through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. In August, 2014, Amaya completed the transformative acquisition of the Oldford Group, the world's largest poker business comprised of online games and tournaments, live poker tours and events, live poker rooms in major casinos, and poker programming created for television and online audiences. This B2C business operates the PokerStars and Full Tilt brands, which collectively hold a majority of the global liquidity market share in online poker. It is also the largest producer of live poker events around the world, with brands including the European Poker Tour, PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, Latin American Poker Tour and the Asia Pacific Poker Tour.

Amaya went public on the TSX Venture Exchange in July, 2010 before graduating to the TSX in October, 2013. In September, 2014, the company was added to the S&P/TSX Composite Index. The company is the second largest TSX-listed technology company by market cap in Québec, as of October 31, 2014.

The industry and business community have taken note of Amaya's success and have recognized Mr. Baazov with numerous awards, including Ernst & Young's 2013 Québec EY Entrepreneur of the Year for the Information Technology category and the inclusion of Mr. Baazov on Gaming Intelligence's Hot 50 list in 2012 for the most talented, innovative and inspiring people working in online gaming. Notably, in 2013, Mr. Baazov was named Cantech Letter's TSX Tech Company CEO of the Year and Amaya was named TSX Tech Stock of the Year. In 2012, Mr. Baazov was named Cantech Letter's TSX Venture Tech Company CEO of the Year and Amaya was named TSX Tech Stock of the Year for Amaya.

Mr. Baazov, 34, was raised in Montréal where he continues to live with his wife and four children.
